A: There are a few steps involved in fulfilling your orders placed at Gardeners' Choice. Your order must first be received by our On-line staff. It is then evaluated and processed by our Nursery Staff, and finally prepared and packed by our Shipping Department for insured shipping to you based on the climate of your region and forecasted weather conditions of your shipping route. Orders are shipped to each climate zone in the order they are received.

Q: Why do Weather Conditions and the Climate of My Location affect when my order is shipped from Gardeners' Choice?

A: SEASONAL LIVE PLANTS - Because We Unconditionally Guarantee all of our plants to grow and thrive, it is absolutely necessary that Every Order is custom prepared for shipment according to the growing, planting and climate conditions required to assure successful growth where you live. We ship only when our Nursery Experts feel the weather conditions are optimal in your region for best planting results AND safe from weather related damage during shipping.

Delivering LIVE PLANTS and Guaranteeing their success is a tricky business and there are a lot of factors that must be understood and considered. This includes the weather conditions at our nursery location and the health and size of plants prior to shipping. If necessary we would rather delay your order for a day or two or longer (especially early in the season) during cold weather rather than risk shock damage to your plants during loading or transportation. We Guarantee that All Orders will Arrive in time for Proper Planting.

NON-SEASONAL LIVE PLANTS and PRODUCTS are shipped throughout the year and will arrive within 4 to 6 weeks from the date your order is received.

Q: How Long will it take for my Gardener's Choice Order to arrive after it is shipped?

A: Orders shipped from Gardeners' Choice, weighing 5 pounds or less may take 4-7 days (after leaving the Nursery) to arrive at your home via United States Postal Service Priority Mail. Items weighing more than 5 pounds may take 7-10 days (after leaving Nursery) to arrive at your home via United Parcel Service. Please remember that this means from the time that an order is shipped, not from the time that it is received. If for instance, you place an order for tomato plants in January and you live in Maine - you should not expect to receive your order until the latter part of May.

Q: Is Express Delivery Available?

A: Express Delivery of merchandise from Gardeners' Choice is presently NOT available. In the coming weeks, we hope to have systems in place that will allow us to ship merchandise to you quicker, for an additional charge. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we do assure you that your order will arrive in time for proper planting.
